Duke Rape Case

Couple quick notes on my thoughts on this "case."

-No one will be convicted.

-It's a trumped up charge. Most college "rape" cases are. Not all. But morning after regrets do not constitute rape. Problem is, especially on college campuses, the definition of rape(and sexual harassment) has been broadened so much that silly charges are filed too often. This leaves many people doubting the actual cases of rape which do need our attention.

-The girl is black and the players are white. Enough to get Jesse Jackson involved. Yippee. White girls do this to black guys fairly often, too. Once the term rape is attached to the guy, well, he's pretty much labeled forever...unless he moves.

-Seems like the accused lacrosse players are douchebags. Doesn't make them rapists, though.

-She's a stripper for pete's sake. The second you start taking the word of a stripper...well...anyway. Not that a stripper can't be raped but when there's no DNA proof, no other witnesses(it seems) and one of her coworkers didn't believe her at first...well...anyway.

OK, ladies. Feel free to get pissed and post.

Carlos Mencia

If you aren't watching Mind of Mencia on Comedy Central, you're missing out.

Also be sure to catch Carlos Mencia's "No String's Attached" 1 hour standup special. Comedy Central is running it about 10 times a week right now.

If you're sensitive, don't waste your time, though.

Germany

Not sure how many are actually reading my blog following the long hiatus due to my modeling contract.

Anyway, my big news is that I'm going to Germany for 4 months, leaving May 8th.

Told my sis about two months ago and her response was "4 months? That's a long time!"

It sure is but I'll be in central Europe and within driving/train distance from a lot of things worth seeing.

If you're going to Europe this summer, Email me or leave a note in the comments. Maybe we can connect and drink beer and see sights.

Or if you have recommendations on what to see, leave them in the comments.

Regional Champs

Those that know me know that I'm an avid volleyball player. And those that don't, well, now you do.

We play USAV volleyball which is sanctioned amateur volleyball. Tournament seasons starts in January and runs through April, ending with the biggest tournament of all, Regionals. That's the tournament everyone wants to win. It's the one people remember the winners of. It ends the season. It's tough to win, too, because teams come from all over Ohio, parts of PA and West Virginia, too.

This past weekend was the Regional Championships.

"So how did you guys do, Eric?"

Well, thank you for asking.

We won the whole thing for our division, B. We won the whole thing. The whole thing!

We've played together for 2 years now and I've always felt our biggest weakness was that we don't do the little things well, like passing and covering our hitters and blockers.

But it was like a different team on Sunday. Rarely did we have that problem. We peaked at the right time.

So I'm still floating over this. Was a great feeling because we beat some good teams, too.

On another note, I had my wisdom teeth removed today.
