Regional Champs

Those that know me know that I'm an avid volleyball player. And those that don't, well, now you do.

We play USAV volleyball which is sanctioned amateur volleyball. Tournament seasons starts in January and runs through April, ending with the biggest tournament of all, Regionals. That's the tournament everyone wants to win. It's the one people remember the winners of. It ends the season. It's tough to win, too, because teams come from all over Ohio, parts of PA and West Virginia, too.

This past weekend was the Regional Championships.

"So how did you guys do, Eric?"

Well, thank you for asking.

We won the whole thing for our division, B. We won the whole thing. The whole thing!

We've played together for 2 years now and I've always felt our biggest weakness was that we don't do the little things well, like passing and covering our hitters and blockers.

But it was like a different team on Sunday. Rarely did we have that problem. We peaked at the right time.

So I'm still floating over this. Was a great feeling because we beat some good teams, too.

On another note, I had my wisdom teeth removed today.
