Clueless?

I think it's been a while since I've seen someone so out of touch w/ why she got fired.

Also, for being a STRONG, STRONG FEMINIST (Don't open the door for me!) she does a good job of playing the victim:

"I was aware that I didn't exactly fit the image people have of bloggers who join campaigns -- the stereotype being 30-something nerdy young white men who wear khakis and obsess over crafting their Act Blue lists. I wasn't aware that not fitting the image would attract so much negative attention."

At no point does she take any responsibility at all for the downright hateful and bigoted things she said. She only stood out because she was a woman.

But...but...I think she was a STRONG, STRONG FEMINIST!!! Why should she run from what she wrote or make excuses or revise her posts? SHE'S STRONG!!! Well she did and it easily portrays her for the intellectual fraud she is.

Here is her "apology" while she was still with the Edwards campaign:

"My intention is never to offend anyone for his or her personal beliefs, and I am sorry if anyone was personally offended by writings meant only as criticisms of public politics. Freedom of religion and freedom of expression are central rights, and the sum of my personal writings is a testament to this fact."

I hate apologies of this type. She's not apologizing for anything she said. She's apologizing if OTHER PEOPLE did something(felt offended). Gutless.

If she meant the words stand by them. She didn't. SO she's now a sellout. Unless she did mean them, in which the rich, white male forced her to "apologize." Once again, sold out.

Schadenfreude is the word.
